David Oster is a Director & Storyteller based in Los Angeles.
My filmmaking journey began in Atlanta as an extra on "The Blind Side," where I discovered my true calling in the film industry. I learned and grew as a filmmaker, working my way up from a background extra knowing nothing and no one to a highly sought-after Executive Assistant for Hollywood's finest, including renowned actors, directors, and producers like Sam Rockwell, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Casey Affleck, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston, David Ayer, and Donald De Line. My credits include prestigious and successful films and series like “Community,” "Hunger Games: Catching Fire," "Need for Speed," “Baby Driver,” "Avengers: Infinity War/Endgame," and "Loki."
A standout achievement in my career was directing and producing the compelling documentary "Todd McFarlane: Like Hell I Won't" for SYFY. This high-profile project delved into the life of comic book artist Todd McFarlane, earning over 1.4 million viewers on SYFY Channel and recognition from major Hollywood publications like Deadline. As a director, I’ve also collaborated with top brands like Westin Hotels, FIAT, Allstate, Nissan, Footlocker, and Mizuno.
My work infuses authenticity, human connection, perseverance, and motivation, leaving a lasting impact on viewers. I take pride in cherishing the creative process and effectively managing projects within any budget and timeline.
